Shawmere Project

The Shawmere Anorthosite Project is in an area of known anorthosite occurrences (calcium feldspar) with a high quality mineral composition of calcium alumina silicate that is well suited to meet and/or exceed the required mineral specifications of numerous industrial mineral manufacturing operations. The Company has defined a National Instrument 43-101 compliant inferred resource of approximately 18 million tonnes of high quality anorthosite on a very small portion of the company’s property.  The resource will be modelled and developed with the objective of satisfying a quarry operation with mineral processing facilities in Foleyet.

• Alumina

• Cement

• Insulation

• Glass & Glass fiber

• Paints & coatings

• Plastics & polymers

• Ceramics

EnviroMine’s immediate project area hosts high quality anorthosite interrupted by some mafic dikes and mafic-enriched lower grade anorthosite. EnviroMine’s inferred resource has a high anorthite content, typically near AN80. The Shawmere Project has excellent potential to produce a coarse or finely ground anorthosite as a replacement to traditional resource material inputs across a broad range of end market manufacturers.

The combination of potential value added market applications and proximity of the project to major transportation routes and access to CN Rail branch lines in Foleyet is considered very favourable for economic development of the project.

MINING WITH A GREENER FUTURE IN MIND

The Enviromine property is located approximately 10 km west of the village of Foleyet. Foleyet is located approximately half-way between Timmins to the north-east and Chapleau to the south-west on Highway 101, being approximately 100 km distant from each. Foleyet has a rail hub on the main CN rail line and is the location of a transfer station for trans-loading of talc product produced at the Penhorwood mine northeast of Foleyet off of Highway 101 and processed at the Timmins plant operated by Magris Talc. Several rail sidings are available at Foleyet.

Foleyet is a small village of approximately 180 persons (2016 census) and provides general services including a grocery store, a restaurant, and a school. Timmins is the major regional centre and provides full facilities including daily air service to Toronto, major hospitals, education facililties and other services. Timmins is a significant mining centre and provides full service capability for machinery and equipment supply and repair, exploration services, drilling and mineral processing contractors and associated services. Chapleau is a major CP rail division point on the CP Rail main line and centre of logging activity. Full services are available at Chapleau.
